During my recent stay, I experienced the hotel's commendable aspects and areas needing improvement. The friendly staff provided a warm welcome, and our room was clean, with ample towels. I faced challenges with room No. 8-noisy due to its courtyard view and insufficient curtain functionality. At £70 for three people, the value is apparent, especially with a well-prepared full English breakfast and the presence of a restaurant offering a children's menu. On the downside, facilities like the bar/lounge area, while inviting, weren't available later in the evening, leaving us to seek dining options elsewhere. To conclude, while the hotel marketed itself as a luxury option, I found elements of modernization needed. Travelers seeking balance between cost and comfort might find this a wise choice but should be mindful of room selection.
